Being a Stronger Ally: Trans/GNC Affirming Business Workshop

This workshop is open to the public and FREE to all Andersonville Chamber of Commerce members and their employees. Space is limited and you must RSVP by February 1, 2019 to reserve your spot. The same workshop will also be held on February 7 at 3:30PM. You do not need to attend both events.

Participants will:

  • Build comfort and confidence using terminology related to TGNC* people

  • Practice using pronouns

  • Hear directly from TGNC* people about their positive and negative experiences interacting with Andersonville businesses

  • Learn and practice skills regarding respectful customer service for TGNC* people

  • Identify next steps that they will take to make their business more TGNC* inclusive and affirming

Every participant will receive a resource packet which includes:

  • LGBTQ Vocabulary List

  • Safe space and gender-neutral bathroom decals

  • Best Practices for supporting TGNC* customers, colleagues and community members

*Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming
